It is an extremely useful way to verify a particular game mechanic, explore a seed, test launch options, or test various things about the game. I was referring to using the command before killing the Heart actually, but oh well. The debug console is accessible in The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth and The Binding of Isaac: Repentance. Just a thing though: enabling mods before killing the Heart once prevents unlocks. Worth a try (don't put the quotation marks). I assume the asterisk means "all" (common in coding languages). You can't prevent unlocks/achievements forever on any save, whatever you do. The code to spawn an item is 'giveitem' and then you type in whatever item you want.
